The blog I found that pertains to my research was : http://baur-writing.blogspot.com/
This blog is very informative but there is also a lot of personal opinion in it; I might use it as a source though because there is a good deal of information about how elders are treated in countries other then the U.S. so it might be useful if I wanted to compare countries but not much of the information is confirmable and I could probably find the same information that is provable somewhere else on the internet.

Hi Ava,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this blog!
The writer of the "Attitudes toward Elders" blog has the potential to make it a lot better. He only talks in generalizations about elders from different countries, in regard to whether they are treated well or not...but he doesn't show how they are treated well, or what benefits that they may receive from the government. He could have linked to news articles, government reports, or other websites to show what others had to say about the subject as well...
The only post in the author's blog that goes into some detail is how elders are treated in Kazakhstan, but even that is quite general.
I wonder if he even asked permission to use the photos of people on the Internet...
It may be difficult to find a blog exactly about perceptions of the elderly, but I did find some good ones about problems that the elderly have, which cite some good sources...
Keep me posted on your research...
